Dearest Caterina and Carmela,

I was devastated to hear of Angelo's illness and ultimately his passing. The cross will always remain an enigma, but know that we are approaching Holy Week, and our faith teaches us that the cross is victory. The resurrection has the last word.
Although I cannot be with you, I look forward to a visit. I feel my dad with me constantly.  Take the time you need to grieve, know that you are loved by your friends and that Angelo's love will always sustain you.
