

Born in 1931, in Northern Ireland, he obtained his honours degree at Queens University, Belfast. His working career started with two years foundation work in the Belfast harbour area before moving to Canada in 1955. He spent forty years for the Shawinigan Engineering Company and became its’ President. Ron worked for related companies until forced into early retirement by Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in 1992.
His projects had ranged from many parts of Canada and the USA, South America, and the far East. Until recent years, Ron was actively involved on the Official Board of Westmount Park United Church. The church, and its members, were very important to Ron and graced his life with many meaningful moments. In addition, Ron was on the Board of Director’s at “Dans la Rue” where he positively contributed with his experience in management and construction. In passing he leaves behind his son, David Morch (Julie), and cherished Sister-in-Law Betty (late Robert McFarland). He will also be deeply missed by his cherished niece and nephews Sarah, Mathew, Martin, and Andrew as well as Grand-nephews Elliot and Daniel and Grand-niece Alexandria.. The family would also like to extend its’ heartfelt thanks to Neil Glazer, Tammy Halpern and to Joan Hagerman for the enormous amount of care, and support, that they provided to Ron.

A funeral service will be held at Westmount Park United Church on Thursday, October 7th at 2 PM. The Church is located at 4695 Boulevard de Maisonneuve O, Westmount, Quebec, H3Z 1L9
