Boris Guildine

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of BORIS GUILDINE on June 16th, 2023, at the age of ninety-four. He will be fondly remembered by his wife Klara Levtova, his daughter Veronika (Dmitri), his granddaughters Alina (Oran) and Natalie, his great-granddaughter Kathleen Anne, as well as his extended family and friends. Born in Belopolye, Ukraine (USSR), he earned university degrees in Law and in Economics and Management, and had a long and successful career.

Boris was in his late sixties when he and his wife Klara moved to Canada from Moscow, Russia, to join their family in Montreal. Boris was devoted to his family and adored his grandchildren and his great-granddaughter. While his health permitted, Boris greatly enjoyed his life in Montreal, walking on Mont-Royal as well as reading to his grandchildren, swimming, and playing chess.

Special thanks to Fayaz Mir and Dr Miriam Abdelnour from CIUSSS Centre-Ouest, and the staff at the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital UTRF for optimizing his quality of life in his last months. Our profound thanks to the nurses, patient attendants, doctors, allied health professionals, and other staff at the Jewish General Hospital for their compassionate and devoted care in his last moments.

The funeral will be held at the Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges at an indeterminate date once the cemetery reopens.
