Carmela Stasi

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Carmela Stasi-Cioffi on March 13, 2026, at the age of 93.

Born on July 13, 1932, in Benevento, Italy, Carmela immigrated to Canada at a young age, where she built a beautiful life and family alongside her beloved husband, the late Giuseppe Cioffi.

She was a devoted and proud mother to Giovanni (Marina), a cherished grandmother to Jonathan and Matthew, and a loving sister to the late Maria Stasi-Abbatiello (the late Salvatore Abbatiello). She also leaves behind many dear relatives and close friends.

She was admired by all who knew her and will be fondly remembered for her resilience, caring nature, joyful outlook on life, and deep love for her family. Her memory will remain forever in our hearts.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to her caregivers, Irma, Bettina, and Marita, as well as the dedicated nurses and staff at the CHSLD Vigi Reine-Élizabeth Residence for their compassionate care and support.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a ceremony in the chapel of the Côte-des-Neiges Funeral Complex, 4525 Chem. de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal.

Burial will follow at the Esther Blondin Mausoleum, located within Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery, 4601 Chem. de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal.
