Corazon Castillones

Corazon Castillones, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024, in Laval. Born on November 2, 1941, in the Philippines, Corazon's journey through life was marked by resilience and an unwavering love for her family.

For over three decades, Corazon dedicated herself to serving others at the Jewish General Hospital. Her compassion and commitment to her work left a lasting impact on both colleagues and patients alike. After retiring from her esteemed career in healthcare, she embraced a new chapter of life filled with joy as she devoted herself to her grandchildren—Selena and Patrick Brown; Kai and Saidee Sanidad; Hawaii and Soleil Sanidad. Each moment spent with them brought light into her days as she shared stories of her youth while creating cherished memories that will forever be etched in their hearts.

Corazon’s warmth extended beyond familial bonds; she had an innate ability to connect with everyone around her. Friends often remarked about how they felt uplifted after spending time with Corazon—her laughter was infectious, and her spirit indomitable. She found beauty in simple pleasures: tending to plants or sharing meals filled with Filipino dishes that delighted all who gathered at her table.

Her legacy is one of love—a testament reflected not only through the lives of Jan-Jan, Glen, Randy but also within each grandchild whose lives were enriched by their grandmother's wisdom and kindness. As we mourn the loss of this remarkable woman who touched so many lives during hers—let us remember Corazon for the strength she embodied throughout every challenge faced.
