Denis M. Palko, seasoned traveller, international engineer, enthusiastic fisherman, lover of all things mystical, and proud father and grandfather, passed away at the very respectable age of 89 on June 1, 2023 in Montreal. Dad was wise, funny, generous, stoic, quirky, clever, patient, loyal, and kind. Pre-deceased by his parents, Michael and Martha (Papp), he will be deeply missed by his children, Liana (Chris), Ken (Tamara), and Anne-Sophie (Craig), his grandchildren, Matthew, Evelyn, Charlie, and Maddie, and by his beloved big sister, Viola. We would also like to thank Dr. Gallant and Mylene for their kindness, patience, and support. Their professionalism and excellent care were invaluable, and we deeply appreciate everything they did for us and for Dad.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 5610 Rue Sherbrooke Ouest., starting at 9 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. A reception will be held at the Hungarian Foyer, 2580 Rue St. Jacques, after the service.
A donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Canada society for those who wish to honour his memory would be most welcome.
