Edouard Lamoureux

À Saint-Hyacinthe, le 29 mai 2021, est décédé, à l’âge de 78 ans, Édouard Arthur Lamoureux, fils de feu Amélie Rose Poulson et de feu Édouard David Lamoureux. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Louise (née Cusson), sa fille Alexandra (Liam Skinner), son fils Éric (Catherine Lehouillier), sa petite-fille Élodie, sa sœur Jacqueline, son frère Peter (Ann), sa belle-sœur Sylvia (feu Raymond), ainsi que de nombreux cousins, neveux et nièces, amis et collègues.

Récipiendaire d’un diplôme en génie électrique de l’Université d’Ottawa et d’un diplôme en administration, il occupe des postes de haute direction au sein de nombreuses entreprises (Westinghouse, Renold, Ferranti-Packard). Plus tard dans sa carrière, il se lance en tant que consultant et met à profit ses grandes qualités d’accompagnateur et de facilitateur auprès de diverses organisations. Tous ceux qui ont croisé son chemin ont été touchés par sa bienveillance, sa présence chaleureuse et son esprit rassembleur.

Sa famille était sans contredit sa plus grande fierté. Il a fait preuve d’un dévouement et d’une générosité hors du commun à l’égard de son épouse, ses enfants et sa petite-fille. Son sourire espiègle, sa voix lumineuse et son rire contagieux brilleront dans nos cœurs à jamais.

Aussi habité par une passion inouïe pour le voyage, l’histoire, la géographie et la généalogie, il a sillonné les États-Unis, l’Europe et le Canada avec son épouse Louise.

La famille tient à remercier de tout cœur l’équipe de soins palliatifs du Centre d’hébergement de l’Hôtel-Dieu-de-Saint-Hyacinthe pour sa compassion et sa délicatesse.

Vu les circonstances actuelles, les funérailles auront lieu sur invitation seulement le lundi 7 juin 2021 au Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges.

Lamoureux, Édouard (1942 - 2021)

Édouard Arthur Lamoureux passed away peacefully in Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec on May 29, 2021 at the age of 78. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Louise (née Cusson), his children Alexandra (Liam Skinner) and Éric (Catherine Lehouillier), his granddaughter Élodie, his sister Jacqueline and his brother Peter (Ann). He will also be missed by countless nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues. He was predeceased by his dear brother Raymond (Sylvia).

Born on September 10, 1942 to Amélie Rose Poulson and Édouard David Lamoureux of Beaconsfield, he was a graduate of Loyola High School. He received an engineering degree from the University of Ottawa, as well as a diploma in business administration, and went on to hold several upper management positions at Westinghouse, Renold and Ferranti-Packard. Later in his career, he parlayed his skills as a coach and facilitator into a successful consulting and leadership training business. He left an indelible impression on all who had the good fortune of knowing him with his kindness, natural charm and uncanny ability to bring people together.

His family was, without a doubt, his greatest source of pride. He will be fondly remembered for his generosity and his unwavering devotion to his wife, children and granddaughter. His infectious laugh, gentle spirit and mischievous smile will live in our hearts forever.

Sparked by a keen interest in history, geography and genealogy, he also travelled widely in the United States, Europe and Canada with his wife Louise.

The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to the palliative care team at the Centre d’hébergement de l’Hôtel-Dieu-de-Saint-Hyacinthe for their kind care and compassion.

The visitation and service will take place on June 7, 2021 at the Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges. Due to the pandemic restrictions, it will be by invitation only.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the palliative care unit of l’Hôtel-Dieu-de-Saint-Hyacinthe through the Aline Letendre Foundation
