Elinor passed away suddenly in Montreal on September 30, 2016, in her eighty-sixth year. Dear sister of Jane Bartlett Brierley and the late John E.C. Brierley; cherished aunt of Sarah, Tim and Tomomi; loving grandaunt of Hanako, Kai and Liam. Beloved daughter of the late Oswald Bartlett and the late Una Phelan. For many years the chief librarian at Bell. A devout Christian, a proud Montrealer, a charming and beautiful soul. Her memorial mass will be held at St. Monica's Parish Church (6405 Terrebonne, N.D.G.), on Friday, October 7, 2016, at 11 a.m. (visitation 10 a.m., reception 12 p.m.), with burial at the Mount Royal cemetery thereafter.
