Aunt Flo welcomed my mother -- her sister, Cathy -- and I to visit and stay with her, during three consecutive summers.  We stayed for a few days at a time and she and Ed were gracious hosts.  We especially loved having wine and cheese at their cottage, an uplifting visit to St. Joseph's Oratory, and a special meal with David and his family.  Coming from Michigan, it was rare to visit, but I remember having additional chances when I was a little girl, later when I was 19, and then when I was in early 40s.  It would be about time to make the trek again.     

I loved hearing Aunt Flo's voice in her beautiful Montreal Canadian accent.  I can hear her laughing too and see her eyes sparkle as she tilted her head coyishly.  We had some good talks and I appreciated her authenticity.  She was a perfect aunt.  

Thanks for the sharing your spirit with us Aunt Flo.  Love you.  Leave the light on for us.  Renee -- and Cathy.

David, my deepest condolences to you and your family . I share your sadness. Aunt Flo was a lovely lady and I had many wonderful  phone conversations with her especially after the passing of my mother,her sister Helen. I pray that you all find strength at this very difficult time.

My sincerest condolences Dave, Diane, Caitlyn and Sarah on the loss of your Mother, mother-in-law and grandmother.  I can remember way back when I was first introduced to Flo by Debbie.  She was always so full of life and happy-go-lucky.   My Mom lived close by on Cavendish so we got our two moms together and they quickly became friends.   I personally remember the lovely conversations I enjoyed with her at family events.  Flo was very compassionate and showed her true self by volunteering her time and love caring for others in need.  May the wonderful memories of her help sustain you during this sad time.  RIP  Flo.
