It is with great sadness that the family of Francine Davis announces her passing from cancer, on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at the age of 72 years in Montreal. Francine will be lovingly remembered by her children, Stephan (Felicia), and Nicolas (Brisa). Francine will also be fondly remembered by her three grandchildren, Luna, Noah, and Riel, as well as close friends, Rollande, Petra and Debbie, and many others.
Francine spent the early years of her life in Mexico, a country to which she remained attached for the rest of her life. She obtained a B.Sc. (PT) from McGill University in Montreal, a city in which she was a practicing physiotherapist for the remainder of her career.
Francine loved spending time with family and friends, creating art, reading, playing board games, watching movies, gardening, and traveling. She was a philanthropist whose dedicated causes revolved around women’s well being issues, establishing the Leduc, Davis, Brun & De Rito Undergraduate Award for Global Health at McGill University in 2016. Francine lived a full life and will happily be remembered for it.
A Celebration of Francine’s life will be held at a later date, once social distancing measures due to COVID-19 are no longer in force.
