Giovanni D'Alessio

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, Giovanni D’Alessio, on June 4, 2018. Giovanni is predeceased by his beloved wife Anna. He is survived by his children Ottavio (Tina), Chiara (John), and Italia (the late Joe Palombo), grandchildren Alexandra, Diandra, Kayla and Gianni, his brother Mario and his many family members in Italy. Born on May 29, 1941 in Sassano, Italy, Giovanni moved to Montreal in 1959 and built a name for himself as the founder of Gidal Construction. He was a smart and compassionate businessman whose strong work ethic lives on. He had a profound love for his homeland and cherished the simple things in life. Giovanni will be deeply missed by his family, many friends and colleagues. Family will receive condolences on Sunday June 10, 2018, 2:00 -5:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at Centre Funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, 4525 chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, QC, H3V 1 E7. Service will be on Monday June 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at Transfiguration of our lord’s Church, 11775 Filion, Montreal, Qc H4J 1T4. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice or we invite you to donate in his memory to the Giovanni D’Alessio Memorial Fund for the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) or by calling 1-800-960-0993.

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de notre père, Giovanni D’Alessio, le 4 juin 2018, Giovanni est prédécédé par sa femme Anna. Il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Ottavio (Tina), Chiara (John) et Italia (feu Joe Palombo), ses petits-enfants Alexandra, Diandra, Kayla et Gianni, son frère Mario et ses nombreux membres de la famille en Italie. Né le 29 mai 1941 à Sassano, en Italie, Giovanni est venu à Montréal en 1959 et s’est renommé en tant que fondateur de Gidal Construction. Il fut un homme d’affaires intelligent et compatissant dont le solide étique de travail perdure. Il avait un amour profond pour sa patrie et chérissait les choses simples de la vie. Giovanni manquera beaucoup à sa famille, à ses amis et à ses collègues. La famille recevra les condoléances Dimanche le 10 Juin de 14 :00 à 16 :00 et 19 :00 à 21 :00pm, au Centre Funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, 4525 chemins de la Côte-des-Neiges, Qc, H3V 1 E7.
