It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gwendoline (Hazeltine) Thompson of Sainte-Dorothée, Laval, QC at the Palliative Care Home of Laval on December 8, 2017.
Gwen was born April 23, 1934, in Montreal QC to the late Melvin and Frances Hazeltine. She was united in marriage to Roy Andrew Thompson on September 22, 1956, in Laval QC. He preceded her in death April 19, 1974. She was also predeceased by her sister Irene and brother Edgar.
She was the dear mother of three sons, Darren (Jill) of Issaquah WA, Eugene and Randy of Laval and the loving grandmother of Kerry-Ann, Jamie, Alex, Anthony and Alyssa. She also leaves behind her sister and best friend Mavis Mott of Langley, BC, with whom she spent many happy winters in Florida. Gwen loved laughing and traveling with her niece Darlene (Ted) Cailis. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.
A graveside service will be held at the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery on Monday, April 23 at 1:30pm followed by a Celebration of Life at the Centre Funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, 4525 Côte-des-Neiges Rd(indoor parking).
Please meet at 1:00pm at the Côte-des-Neiges Cemetery (parking next to Chapel), 4601 Côte-des-Neiges Rd, Montreal, Québec H3V 1E7.
