Harrison Joseph

We sadly announce his death on the 2nd of December, 2013, at the age of 84. Born in Castries, St. Lucia on June 1, 1929, Harry is lovingly remembered and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 53 years, Cecilia Cooke, and his children, Harrison Monroe (Pauline), Lucy-Ann (Alfonso), Julia (Fernando), and Hogie (Darci). He was also a proud grandfather to 7 grandchildren - Sean, Simone, Anthony, Cecilia, Francesco, Matthew, and Harrison. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters Julianna (the late Kibe Itiaba), Carol, Raymonde, as well as his brothers Oliver and Gregory. He is also survived and was deeply close to his aunt of 103 years, Catherine Joseph, and countless other wonderful family members and friends.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Yosh Taguchi, Dr. Jeremy Sturgeon, and the staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital, along with the Palliative Care Unit of the Mount Sinai Hospital for their tireless care and devotion. They also wish to express their heartfelt appreciation to Joy and her fellow caregivers for the compassionate care they provided.

The funeral service will be at Ascensions of our Lord Parish located at 375 Kitchener Avenue, Westmount (514) 932-3131 Friday December 6th at 10:30 AM.

In addition, a memorial service will also be held in Harry’s beloved city of La Fargue, St. Lucia later this month.
