Iliana Sophia Shoofey Marino

September 13, 1928 – January 3rd, 2015

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden loss of our much beloved mother and grandmother. Predeceased by her mother Amelia (nee Yared) and father Ferris Shoofey, husband Vittino Marino and daughter Valerie as well as brothers Edmund, Napoleon, Raymond, Edward and sisters Ruby, Edna and Patricia. She leaves behind her children Carole, Norman (Suzanne), Frank (Denyse), Vincent, her twin sister Viola "Minnie" Thibault, her grandchildren Christopher (Roxana), Michael, Danny (Laura), Angela, Nadia, Iliana, Jasmine, nieces, nephews and cousins. She will also be profoundly remembered by numerous relatives and friends. The family extends its sincerest gratitude to the medical staff at the ICU of the Montreal Chest Institute for their kindness, compassion and exemplary care.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the

Centre Funeraire Cote-Des Neiges, 4525 Ch. De La Cote-Des-Neiges, Montreal, Quebec, from 2 -5 pm and 7-9 pm.

Funeral Service to be held Monday, January 12 at Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 555 Jean Talon East, Montreal, Quebec at 11 am preceded by Visitation at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Saint George Church. “Forever in our hearts, an angel is now in God's embrace.”
