John Godley

C’est avec grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de John Stanley Godley, le 31 mars 2023 à l’âge de 82 ans. Outre son épouse Claudette Demers, avec qui il a partagé 52 ans de complicité, il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Philippe (Candice), Alexandre (Claude), Patricia, son petit-fils Gabriel, ainsi que ses amis et sa parenté. À son épouse et à ses trois enfants, il laisse son immense amour en héritage. John fut un ‘bon gars’ reconnu pour son humour et ses crevettes grillées.

Une cérémonie en sa mémoire aura lieu dimanche le 16 avril entre 13h et 16h suivi d’une réception à 16h.

Vos témoignages d’amitié peuvent se traduire par un don à la fondation Anawim et à Médecins Sans Frontières.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Stanley Godley on March 31st 2023, at the age of 82.

Beloved husband for 52 years of Claudette Demers, cherished father of Philippe (Candice), Alexandre (Claude), Patricia, devoted grand-father of Gabriel, he will also be deeply missed by his friends and relatives.

John was a devoted husband, father, friend and teacher who always had a one-liner for all occasions. A good man, a great cook, who will be missed for his quick and dry humour and his bbq shrimps. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday April 16th between 1pm-4pm followed by a reception at Collins Clarke located at 5610 Sherbrooke West, Montreal.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Anawim Foundation and Médecins sans frontières would please him.
