It has been a year now since you left us to be in the presence of our Heavenly Father. I miss you deeply, Otoy, my dear kid brother. You are very special to me. You will be in my heart and mind forever. I love you and miss you.

I thought the hardest goodbye was back when 'Ma and I left for Montreal in November 1994. I was wrong. No matter how many times I try to write and erase things I want to say, no words are ever going to reflect the void I feel since leaving the hospital knowing you're gone. 

It's a deep, empty feeling that permeates every aspect of my life. It's a constant reminder of what was lost, an amazing soul, and it's something that will never truly go away. However, I'm holding onto the comfort of knowing that you were surrounded by your family. 

There's a peace that comes from knowing that you were adored by people you've crossed paths with and that you were dearly loved by those you let into your circle. 

I want to thank you for loving and accepting me for who I truly am, and for giving me one of kind siblings, Jonnah and DJ, that remind me of you in their own way. 

And while the void you left will never be filled, I will forever hold on to the memories you left us. Don't worry papa, I will take care of mama, Jonnah and DJ.

Dad, words cannot express how sad I am that you are no longer with us, not a day goes by where I don’t think of you and how much I miss you. You fought until the very end and that shows how resilient and strong you were,  you kept a positive attitude and a smile on your face even in difficult times. 

Thank you for all the piggy backs you gave me when I was a kid, for sleeping by my side when some nights were harder than others, for waking up early on Sundays to drop me off to church, for giving me driving lessons, for showing me everything that I know about cars today but most importantly being the best dad I could’ve ever asked for . your passing leaves a massive hole in my heart. the heartbreak i feel from your loss is profound. i guess that’s the price i pay for the love you had. for me. for the world. for anyone one who had the privilege of knowing you, even for just a second. but your love for me, for mom, for ate Joanne and for DJ is one to boast about. aren’t we lucky to call each other family?

Tito, you were always the first person I looked for whenever I arrived at the house. I’ll miss those warm hellos and goodbyes that always made me feel at home. Your smile, boundless energy, playful goofiness, and heartfelt stories brought so much light and joy into every moment.

Losing my father-in-law has been a profound loss for my wife and me.

I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to know him for almost six years. He was everything I could have hoped for in a father-in-law. Thank you for always making me laugh, for checking in on me, and for loving me as one of your own. I miss you more than words can express.
