Played for Coach Cahill in 72 as RB n K. As we only had 18 players that yr , he easily convinced me to wait till 73 to join Vanier Cheetahs. He coached us very well to the final vs SS Colts.
Glad to hear there's a GC Scorpion reunion planned for Sept 2024 .

Hello, my name is Barry Dobson. I had the privilege of playing for Gord and the Laval Scorpions during their amazing run to the national championship in 1974.

While it was only for a year that I knew Gord, he had a big impact on me. I appreciated his ability to always appear to be in charge, yet still open to other points of view. He was a fabulous coach and human being.

On a humorous note, I still use Coach Cahill's acronym when he wasn't sure of the answer to a question..."BTSOOM". (If curious as to the meaning and you are able to attend his celebration of life gathering, ask one of the 7 former Scorpions in attendance).

Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss.

Yes he a good man and a friend I work with him and Doris for 4 summer in the motel I couldn't ask more from him he was always there to help like he always said  CALL ME ANYTHING BUD it's sad to hear he pass a way 😢 my Condolences to he family and friends 💔

Mr.Gordan was a very kind and lovely person,i got to know him when i was Working as receptionnist at the camping site Chalet camping nature Océan where he had his trailor for the Summer Seasons, watch him go and walk downtown and back, and always stop in the office to Tell me hi,and have a Little chat, i will never forget you Gordy,

Sincere condoleances to the families.  A man who left fond memories to everyone he met.

I will always be grateful for the many good times we had together.  His love of football, working to develop young minds in the game and in life.  The many great Saturday night home dinners we had together, listening to the music we loved until the wee hours of the morning. Sunday, game day , we would share the garlic we ate the night before talking to the players. 😂.
