It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Luigi (Gino) Marino, on November 25, 2025, at the age of 92, surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband of Anna Rosa (Rosina) Ambrosio and the cherished son of the late Maria Domenica Ambrosio and the late Giuseppe Marino.
Luigi was born in Morrone del Sannio, Italy. From a young age, he balanced school with helping his widowed mother and older sisters on the farm. Aspiring to a better life, he immigrated to Montreal in 1954 to join his betrothed, Rosina, whom he married upon his arrival, and with whom he founded a loving family. Over time, he built several successful businesseses—beginning in landscaping, and later focusing on home renovation, real estate, and residential construction. Proud to embrace his new country, he taught himself English and French and exemplified an enterprising spirit, self determination, and an unwavering devotion to family. He leaves behind a legacy shaped by resilience, courage, and love.
