Margaret Guimond (nee Buchanan)

Margaret Guimond nee Buchanan, wife of Georges Guimond, passed away in Montreal on February 26, 2018. Margaret was born to the late James Edward Buchanan and Veronica Doherty Buchanan on July 5th 1933.

Known to all who loved her as Bunny, she had a generous open heart to all who crossed her path, and her tremendous generosity overflowed to multiple charities that were dear to her. She loved caring for her many feline friends and tending her garden in her LaSalle home.

Margaret was a 25 year employee of the Hudson Bay Company where her co-workers affectionately nicknamed her Maggie.

Her feisty Irish character always brought mischief and laughter to many gatherings and her spirited personality will be clearly missed by all who knew her.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years Georges, daughters Joanne (Al Ribeiro) and Louise (Alain Filion), adored grandchildren, Olivia, Patrick, Zachary, her family by affection Louise Arseneau and Susan Arseneau as well as extended relatives and friends.

A memorial will be held on April 15th, 2018 at the Centre Funéraire Cotes-des-Neiges (4525 Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal, QC). Visitations will be from 10am-2pm including a ceremony at 1pm and followed by a small reception at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in her name to the SPCA or the Old Brewery Mission would be appreciated.
