Maria Florinda Rodrigues

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Florinda Rodrigues at the age of 90, on Tuesday February 13th, 2024, at the Lakeshore General Hospital surrounded by her loved ones.

Best known as “Florinda” or “Vóvó Linda”, she leaves behind her loving Sons Manuel (Celina) & Mario (Fatima) and her daughter Maria-Helena (Joaquim); her 9 cherished grandchildren: Nancy (Marcel), Lory (Filipe), Carla (Antonio), Jenny (James), Tania (David), Melanie (Larry), Danny, Nelson (Audrey) and Steven (Natasha). She will be deeply missed by her beloved 20 Great-Grandchildren: Mathew, Evan, Amy, Isabella, Lucas, Milena-Rose, Rio, Julia, Dante, Isaiah, Sarah, Jonah, Gabriel, Joshua, Joel, Hannah, Lia, Jax, William and Sophia; as well as many other family members and friends.

Though she may no longer be with us, Florinda will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

May she rest in Eternal peace.

Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 20th, 2024, at:

The burial will follow at 2:15pm at the Santa-Cruz section of the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.

Sra. Florinda deixa para trás os seus amados Filhos Manuel (Celina) e Mário (Fátima) e a sua filha Maria-Helena (Joaquim); os seus 9 queridos netos: Nancy (Marcel), Lory (Filipe), Carla (António), Jenny (James), Tania (David), Melanie (Larry), Danny, Nelson (Audrey) e Steven (Natasha). Embora já não esteja entre nós, a Florinda viverá para sempre nos corações de Todos os que a conheceram.
