Nanny,

Visiting Montreal won’t be the same, especially since I won’t be able to see you. Whenever I’d see you, we would always have a nice time together. Listening to your stories were my favourite part of my visits.  So, It’ll certainly feel weird not having you apart of my visit this summer, but just the memories I have of us will help me get by. My favourite memories of you are forever going too be your laugh, smile, your jokes, your scent, your kindness and how you never failed to put a smile on my face. I love you so much Nanny.

I have been struggling since you left, to find the words. The words to express the depth of sadness that has, not only come over me but everyone at our home. 

You are  absolutely adored and loved by Noah and Kieran. They were so fortunate to have had a loving Nanny like you. They will always remember so many happy times spent together; we all will. Steven misses your teasing and the way , that only you, could make him laugh with your cheeky jokes. 
He loves and misses you dearly.

And I miss my mom. I miss you in almost every moment of my day. Every thing I do reminds me of you. Those feelings of sadness and loss are compounded because you played double duty in my life; you were my mom (who only got better with time) and you were my absolute best friend in this whole world. I love you mom. 

We had many conversations over the years, and we said almost everything that we wanted to say but I realized that there was one thing I have left unsaid, I want to thank you for being my mom and again I love you more than words could ever express.
