It is with great sadness, our family announces the passing of our mother, Mary (nee Boland), at the age of 90 years at the Lakeshore General Hospital on January 18, 2021. Beloved mother of Diane King (Paul), Brenda, and Bob (Kim). Loving grandmother to Melanie Roy, Jeff and Alex (Dru). Great grandmother to Aidan and Alyssa. Mary was predeceased by her devoted husband, Bob, her parents Jane and Bill Boland, her sisters, Irene and Barbara, and her brother, Billy.
Mary began her working life on the runway as a shoe model for Simpsons with her
size 5 feet. She moved into the fashion departments, where she learned her own impeccable fashion style. She was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 20 years, both in Rawdon, QC and in Calgary, AB. Mary was a talented ballroom dancer and an artist known by few. She enjoyed bowling and belonged to several leagues.
The family will receive the condolences on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 10am following by a Memorial Service at 11am at the :
