

Natalia Olarte Pelausa passed away peacefully at home in TMR, Montreal, Canada, on Sunday, March 16, 2025. She was 97 years young.
Natalie was a beloved Pillar of the Filipino -Canadian community. A retired teacher, she founded the Philippine Benevolent and Scholarship Society of Quebec (PBSSQ) which for 40 years fostered benevolence and education for Filipino-Canadian youth through scholarships. She was honoured with numerous awards, including the Canada Senate Medallion and the 2024 King Charles Medal. She was preceded from life in 2010 by her beloved husband, Dr. Jesus Peduche Pelausa (Anesthesiology). She is survived by her 2 children: Dr. Ermelinda O. Pelausa (Neonatology) and Dr. Edilberto O. Pelausa (Otolaryngology), 3 grandchildren: Crisanto, Orion, and Alexander and 4 great-grandchildren - Orson, Jody, Sappho and Emmeline.
Natalie was a wonderful Wife, Mama, Lola and Great-Lola to her family, a bulwark for the Filipino-Canadian community and a shining example of her Catholic Faith. Her life will be celebrated and remembered by many...

Funeral services are with Dignité Centre Funéraire Cotes des Neiges with viewing from 4-9 pm on Monday, March 24, 2025 and on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. The Funeral Mass will be held in St. Kevin's Church at 11 am.
