Pietro Di Sano

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Pietro Di Sano on August 23rd, 2020. Peter’s life was characterized by great sacrifice, hard work and a deep and abiding pride in everything he did – from his work in aviation (CAE) to preparing meals for family gatherings. Always ready to lend a helping hand to a neighbor in need, he was selfless with his time and energy. His leisure time was spent keeping his old-world values and traditions alive – from making wine to tomato sauce and tending to his flower and vegetable gardens, which he loved. He will be missed by family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Maria Di Clemente, and his children: Antonietta (Jean Maucieri); Palma (Joe Calabrese); Giuseppa; Giovanni; and Federico. Grandfather to Jesse and Lisa (Antonietta & Jean Maucieri); Julia, Michael and John (Palma and Joe Calabrese). He leaves behind his brothers Eugenio (Antonietta) and Armando (Anna Maria).

The viewing will be held at the Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, 4525, ch de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montreal, Quebec on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 11h30 - 1h30 followed by a ceremony. Virtual viewing will be available on the website of the funeral home the following day.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Maimonides for their professionalism, dedication and caring spirit.
