It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Cornell, who after a short illness left us on May 4, 2026, at the age of 87. Confirmed bachelor, he was predeceased by his parents Leopold and Maria, and his niece, Irene (Kerry). Beloved uncle to Donna (Henry) and Andrew (Chantal) He was a great-uncle to Katherine, David, William and Samuel.
Born in Poland in 1939, he immigrated to Montreal in 1951. A self-made entrepreneur, inventor and property owner. A “bon vivant” known in Montreal, the Eastern Townships and his beloved Cuba. His stories, a passion for dancing and zumba were legendary. He will be missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
