Thinking about Sabrina’s family today. I miss her so much! There isn’t a day that I don’t see it here something that reminds me of her!

Hi, I tried calling her a few times and she never replied. Yesterday, it said the phone number was not allowed.
Could not find her on FB so I just googled her…
We are devastated…. We met her in Hemmingford, after we decided to retire to our secondary home in 2018. What a exceptional human being. So sorry for your loss. Can’t believe we missed her funeral for a few days. Lost our son-in-law to Brain cancer in 2020 at the age of 42; a special thought to her beloved sons.

Sabrina, tu nous a quitté beaucoup trop tôt, même si nous savions depuis des mois que suite à ton diagnostic de cancer du foie incurable et inopérable tu étais pour partir vers de meilleurs cieux. Le médecin t’avais informé que tu avais un espérance de vie entre un et deux ans, tu as vécu 7 mois, nous  aurions aimé un autre miracle comme lors de ton premier cancer alors que u n’avais que 7 ans, mais la vie en a décidé autrement.

Sabrina tu étais une battante, tu n’as jamais abandonné même avec les séquelles que t’avais laissé ton premier cancer et dont tu luttais années après années et ce, même la journée avant ta mort ou nous avons dû te faire transporter à l’hôpital dû à ton état critique. Les médecins t’avaient déconseillé de retourner chez toi car tu allais mourir, mais tu voulais absolument être là pour ton 43 ième anniversaire, malheureusement tu es décédé le matin-même à 8.21 hres.

Nous nous souviendrons de Sabrina la studieuse ( Certificat, Bac, Maitrise et Doctorat), Sabrina la fille de party qui ne voulait jamais manqué une fête afin d’y chanter, danser, raconter ses anecdotes, tes fou-rires et Sabrina la scénariste avec tous les vidéos que l’ont se faisaient avec ton cellulaire.

Pour terminer une petite pensée

Naître vivante mais prisonnière du temps
Quelques années de vie mais malade souvent
Plusieurs souffles de vie pour bâtir un amour
Vivre quelques années mais être toujours

Tant d’aurores que tu ne verras plus luire
Tant de mots que tu ne pourras plus dire
Tant de larmes que tu n’auras plus à verser
Comme autant de joies que tu n’auras plus à crier

Mourir avant d’avoir profiter pleinement de ta vie
Mourir avant d’avoir réalisé toutes tes envies
Un cœur qui ne bat plus….
Qu’aux rythmes des sanglots perdus

Pour Franca & moi la souffrance est immense
Survivre? Pourquoi quand on y pense !
Une épaule une main pour tenter d’apaiser,
Se relever….. Sans jamais oublier…..

My deepest condolences to mom and Claude, Alex, and the boys. 
Sabrina came into my life in 2018 while working at the health coop in Hemmingford. We connected right off the bat over silly stories, love of food, and too many laughing fits to count! We realized that we went to the same elementary school (Sab called us the Nesbitt twins), our dads were both not only retired police officers but also worked at the same station! We connected over health issues, hardships and over coming the seemingly impossible. Sabrina was the poster child for living unapologetically and that is a lesson I learned from her that now guides me through my life. 
I love you my beautiful friend! I miss you and our talks tremendously! Thank you for being you! Rest in peace ❤️

l was blessed to have met Sabrina whie in a dark period in my life. Her support and strength helped to lift me back up onto my feet to carry on. My father will also miss her, and thanks her for her support, medical advice and wisdom, along with the food treats that she sent him. This photogragh was a demo shot that l was using for another Canadian  book authors  book cover.  Although that deal fell through and was not used as intended, this shot has become the basis for Sabrines first book that she was writing. Her persective of both sides of the hospital bed, from, "The Other Side", as seen by care giver, to now care receiver . Our last meeting was discussing changes to the font.  My dad & l send our love and support to Sabrinas family.

I write these words with great sadness knowing that Sabrina has left us much too soon. I will always remember how much she was a force of positive energy in our community and how much care and compassion she had for everyone she encountered. I am deeply grieving the tragic loss of my beautiful, firecracker friend, Sabrina... She was one of a kind, incredibly determined, hilarious , headstrong and generous. 

 What a blessing it was to have her as my "across the street" neighbour and friend for years. To share ingredients, our kids and looks through the windows... To get groceries together or to simply talk about life.  To cry and laugh together...  To work together in growing the non profit, Options medical that she cared so deeply about and gave so much of herself to. 

She was always there to help those in need. Always. Deep care and spontaneity propelled her forward! 

We bonded over a mutual love for Hello Kitty and metal music... What a joy to see her faith in God grow over the years even through incredible pain and suffering. Real and raw... 

What a beautiful, wonderful person to lose... 

Though I trust that she is no longer in pain, free from the hardships this world promises and at rest,  my heart is broken for her family especially.

It is bewildering how life can be so cruel and take someone who's life was dedicated to  helping other people with their difficulties.

Sabrina demonstrated a great deal of initiative to develop herself in the medical field where her dynamic and affable character would have assisted and supported those in need.

To Alex, Franca, Claude and the young kids, we feel for your loss and the sadness you have gone through since you learned of Sabrina's health demise during this past year.   

Although my family and I were made aware of the imminent outcome, we were nevertheless in shock and deeply saddened when Sabrina's passing was learned.
