Henry (Hank) Santis of Cortlandt Manor, New York, age 70, Entrepreneur/ Innovator, died Tuesday, April 11th surrounded by family after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Joanne (nee Tangen); his sons Derek (Jennifer), Matthew (Dana) and Aaron; stepsons James Ciliberto (Katherine) and Joseph Ciliberto (Stephanie); his sisters Inez Marrero (Albert, dec.) and Sara Santis; his grandchildren Mia, Aidan, Ella, Eli, Camden, Noah, Charlotte, Ryland, Hayley, Emerson and Cameron as well as by his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Enrique Santisteban and mother Edelmira (nee Betancourt).
Born in the Bronx to immigrant parents, he started ATS, an asbestos abatement service which led to him founding the first training facility for asbestos abatement in New York State. He worked at Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant for over 40 years. During that time he established INCs, Inc., a successful business within the nuclear industry.
He loved his family and friends wholeheartedly and dearly. He lived his best life and helped others to do the same.
A memorial service for will be held in Hank’s honor on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 2 - 7 PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, located at 170 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, New York 10548.
