Julia Ann Daley

Julia Ann (Ehlers) Daley, a longtime resident of Verplanck, NY, peacefully passed away on April 19th, 2026 surrounded by family and loved ones. She was 74 years old. Julia was born on May 3rd, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois to Raymond and Elizabeth (Farrington) Ehlers. She is the beloved mother to Sean Daley, and devoted wife to Bobby Daley. Bobby and Julia wed on July 9th,1977 after being set up by mutual friends. Julia earned her Masters in Education at Mercy College of Dobbs Ferry before going on to work at St. Patrick’s School in Verplanck, followed by Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose, NY as a Special Education English Teacher.

She is survived by her husband Bobby Daley; her son Sean Daley; her siblings Raymond Ehlers; Mary Ann Fucich (Bill Fucich husband); John Ehlers (Brenda Ehlers wife); Tom Ehlers (Lorene Ehlers wife); Brian Ehlers (Debbie Ehlers wife); and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father Raymond Ehlers and her mother Elizabeth Ehlers.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, April 26th from 4 - 8 PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home (170 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, NY 10548). A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Monday, April 27th at St. Patrick’s Church (240 11th St, Verplanck, NY10596) at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Broadway, Verplanck, NY 10596. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her honor to St. Patrick's Church (Verplanck, NY).
