Mary Catherine Morrison

Mary Catherine Morrison, 91, of Verplanck, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. Mary was born to Peter and Katie (Evko) Dominikovich on April 3, 1925 in Verplanck, NY. Mary was a member of the Verplanck Fire Department Ladies Auxillary and the Verplanck Seniors. She was married to Alan Morrison, Sr. until his passing in 1995. Mary and Alan owned and operated Hoff-Mart Inc., a TV and Radio repair shop in Peekskill, NY.

Mary is survived by her loving children Bob Morrison (Linda), Alan Morrison, Jr. (Sharon), and Patricia Kanouse (Evan), cherished grandchildren Jacob Morrison (Mary), Miranda Morrison –Vazquez (Richard) and Evan Kanouse III, adored great grandchildren Ric and Eli Vazquez, and Peter and Rebecca Morrison, caring sister Antoinette Gyetko, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Mary was predeceased by her husband Alan and by her sister Anne Callander.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 2-7PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Rd., Montrose, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 18th 10AM, St. Patrick’s Church, Verplanck, NY with burial to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery also in Verplanck.
