

at home,on June 3,2016. Born on October 20,1935 in Van Cortlandtville, NY. She was the
daughter of the late Charles and Madeline (Knapp) Scott. Myrtle was a long time
resident of Cortlandt Manor, NY and recently moved to Wappingers Falls in 2014.
Myrtle married John Swarner February 4, 1956.
Myrtle was employed as a seamstress, telephone operator, a sous chef at the Red
Shutter and was best known as a Domestic Goddess!
Myrtle was predeceased by her daughter Michele Swarner, her parents and her siblings, Madeline, Pauline, Geraldine, and Robert.
Myrtle is survived by her loving husband John of 60 years, her children and their spouses,
John and Josephine Swarner of Fishkill, Lisha (Swarner) and Victor Coster of Hopewell
Junction, her grandchildren Christina and Juan Cortes of Wappingers Falls, Jonathan
and Emily Kinsell of Wirtz, Va., Victor and Zachary Coster of Hopewell Junction, and her great-grand children, Alyssa, Kayla, Andrew, Joshua, Alexa, Jacob and Jac.
She is also survived by her siblings, her twin Marjorie (Scott) Lazzara of Buchanan,
Charles Scott and sister-in-law Gloria of Peekskill, and Richard Scott and many nieces
and nephews.
Myrtle was known for her quick wit, love of learning and great sense of humor! She was
the life of the party, generous and giving. A loving wife and fabulous mother.
