Pearl Marjorie Genovese

With hearts full of love, we announce the passing of our precious angel, Pearl Marjorie Genovese, who passed away on February 28, 2026, after one beautiful week on earth.

Though her time with us was brief, Pearl’s life was a radiant gift — a tiny light that will shine forever in the hearts of those who love her. She was cherished beyond measure by her devoted parents, Nicholas R. and Janina (Smith) Genovese, and lovingly anticipated by her proud big sister, Marigold Genovese.

Pearl is the beloved granddaughter of Warren and Marjorie Smith, and Ralph Jr. and Elizabeth Genovese, and the cherished great-granddaughter of Wayne and Angela Smith. She is also lovingly remembered by her aunts and uncles: Rachael Smith, Wayne Smith, Luke Genovese, and Kasey Colon (Justin), along with many cousins and great-aunts and great-uncles who hold her memory close.

Her brief but perfect life reminds us that the smallest souls can leave the deepest imprint on our hearts. Though we long to hold her, we trust in the promise that we will meet again in God’s eternal kingdom. “Let the little children come to me; do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” — Mark 10:14

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Verplanck, NY, on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Verplanck, NY.
