Richard D. Pearson

Richard was a retired Mechanical Shop Supervisor at Shop A in Camp Smith. He was born in Peekskill on November 28, 1929 to Edward and Elizabeth Albrect Pearson. He attended Hendrick Hudson Schools, and proudly served his country for nearly 40 years in the National Guard. On April 20, 1952 he married Eleanor Colangelo at Assumption Church in Peekskill. She died in 1970. On August 26, 1972 he married Marian Montesano Lepore at Graymoor. Richard was a proud 50 year member of Centennial Hose Co. # 4 in Peekskill, where he served as 2nd Lieut., 1st Lieut., Captain, and Fire Trustee. In the Hudson area, he was a member of B.P.O. Elks’ Club, and chaired several committees, including the District Compliance Chairman. He was also an avid NY Mets fan.

Besides his second wife, Marian, of Hudson, he is also survived by his children, Donna (Thomas) Giglio, of Croton, Richard Pearson, Jr., of Cortlandt Manor; his stepchildren Marie (Brian) Foster, of Quakertown, PA, Michael (Lucy) Lepore, of Peekskill, Frances (Michael ) Herling, of Cortlandt Manor, and Vincent Lepore, of Quakertown, PA. He also has 6 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Besides his first wife, he is also predeceased by a stepson, Frank S. Lepore, Jr.

Visiting is on Friday March 16 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 170 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, NY. The Funeral is Saturday March 17, at 10:00AM at Assumption Church. Private Cremation will follow.
