

Delia Mae (Moore) Green, age 75, was born on October 19, 1950 in Christian County, Kentucky, and peacefully passed away on March 2, 2026, in Moreno Valley, California. She was a longtime resident of Moreno Valley, California, where she built a life centered on love, family, and resilience.
Delia was born to the late Vester Louise Jackson and Elijah Lee Moore. She was one of six siblings and carried strong family values throughout her life.
She was a devoted mother to her children, Delia Verdell Magee and LaSonia Denise Dennis, and her beloved son, the late Kerry Michael James. Her legacy continues through her large and loving family, including 16 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.
Delia was a hardworking and determined woman who wore many hats throughout her life. She proudly ran her own soul food restaurant and worked as a silkscreen operator, food service worker, mail handler, and school bus attendant. No matter the role, she approached her work with dedication and pride.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing, camping, doing puzzles and table games, going to the casino, listening to music, watching game shows and talk shows, and reading her Bible. Delia was known for sharing words of wisdom and uplifting those around her.
Her family will forever treasure the many special memories she created—attending weddings, celebrating the births and graduations of her grandchildren, preparing delicious meals, and always being there to help raise and guide the next generation. She instilled life skills, strength, and self-sufficiency in her children and grandchildren, lessons that will carry on for generations.
Delia will be remembered for her vibrant spirit—her love of dancing, her stylish way of dressing, her youthful energy, and her exceptional cooking. Above all, she was known for her deep love for her family and the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Green; the father of her children, George James Jr.; her parents; her grandmother, Sue Vella Washington; her brothers Richard Roberts and her twin brother Ronzo Jackson; her sisters Addie Sue Smith and Martha Louise Jackson; four nephews, Ken, Greg, Patrick, and Shawn; her twin grandson Darell Hosey; her son-in-law Derek Lamont Magee Sr.; her great-grandson Jovonn Tyree Magee Thomas; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Delia Magee and LaSonia Dennis; her son-in-law Darren Dennis; 15 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren; her sister Martha; her twin brother Ronnie Jackson; her nieces Vodaka of Kentucky and Carla Roberts of California; along with a host of in-laws, coworkers, family members, and dear friends near and far.
Delia Mae Green’s life was a testament to strength, love, and perseverance. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
