Francisca Jimenez Vega
August 21, 1944 - July 6, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Francisca Jimenez Vega, age 80, of Moreno Valley who was called home to be with God on July 6, 2025. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Francisca was born on August 21, 1944 in Maneadero, Baja California, Mexico to the late Tiburcio Jimenez Chavez and Maria Estela Torres Gomez. She was the beloved wife of Refugio R. Vega Jr. for over 50 years; a loving mother to her daughters Cynthia Albaugh and her husband David and Karla Sutton and her husband William; adored grandmother to Alisa and Jared Albaugh, Adriana and Anthony Sutton and his wife Cynthia, as well as great-grandmother to Elias and Ezra. She was a cherished sister to Irma Estela Carrillo and Josefina Jimenez Gomez. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Francisca immigrated to the United States with the intention of creating a better life. She attended a local community college to learn English and became a naturalized U.S.citizen in 1973. Francisca was a military wife supporting her husband’s career in the United States Air Force for over 22 years. She was a woman of faith, a devout Catholic. Her greatest joy was time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
She loved watching baseball and was a devoted Dodgers fan. Although she lived in the United States, her heart remained in Mexico, never forgetting the humble beginnings from which she came. Returning to visit and spend time with her family was among the things that brought her the most joy in life. Francisca's legacy of resilience and strength will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all those who were touched by her.
