John Wilson

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at New Mt. Esther Baptist Church 1213 James Street Morgan City (Siracusaville), Louisiana.

He leaves cherish his memories, his son, John (Dora) Cooper, Sr. of Morgan City, Louisiana; two daughters, Joan Wilson and Tracey Wilson, both of Morgan City, Louisiana; his special niece raised as his daughter, Antoinette Wheeler; two brothers, Clarence Wilson of Beaumont, Texas and Joseph (Beverly) Howard of Morgan City, Louisiana; four sisters, Sarah Hebert of Mobile, Alabama, Loretta Watson of Pearland, Texas, Venita Adesanya of Houston, Texas, Loretta Seals of Kenner, Louisiana; a goddaughter, Melanie August of Morgan City, Louisiana; godson, Lloyd Pete Wilson of Pearland, Texas; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, along with a host of relatives and friends.

John was preceded death by his wife, Sylvia R. Wilson, his parents, Aaron and Albertha Wright Wilson; daughter, Sandra Wilkerson; his granddaughter, Stefayne Carter; a grandson, John Cooper, Jr.; his siblings, Joseph Wilson, Louis Wilson, Lloyd Wilson, Rosemary Gray, Rebecca Jones, Marie Austin, and Albertina Wilson.
