He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Gay Mitchell Nixon; his daughter, Chasity Nicole Mitchell; two brothers; Ambrose "June" Nixon, Jr. and Edward Charles Nixon; along with a host of family and friends.
Sterling was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose Nixon, Sr. and Rose Navarre Nixon; his brother, Mckinley Grant, Sr.; his sisters, Augustine Navarre and Daisy Grant Nixon; and a brother-in-law, Leroy Lewis, Jr..
