Born February 3, 1925 in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania. Passed away August 24, 2013 in Willits, California, where she was living with her daughter for the past 2 years. A resident of Morgan Hill from 1946 - 2012. Employed by the Skeels family since 1955, until purchasing the Orange Freeze in 1960; owned and operated the Morgan Hill landmark for more than 20 years until the closing in 1980.
Sara is survived by 2 daughters, Joyce Brooks of El Dorado, California and Ann Alumbaugh of Willits, California; a son, Ken McCartney of Livermore, California; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 1:00pm at Mt. Hope Memorial Park, Morgan Hill, California.
