Billie Louise Cox

Billie was born in Burke County on August 25, 1925, to the late Ernest & Louise Mull Hogan. Billie grew up and spent most of her life in Morganton. She was married to A.C. Cox, Jr., who passed away in 1990. She loved working in her yard and was especially fond of flowers. Billie was full of love and was loved by many. She will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob K. Hogan and Kent Hogan; and a son in law, James H. Plante.

She is survived by a son, Steve A. Cox (Karen) of Waynesville, North Carolina; a daughter, Patricia C. Plante of Houston, Texas; a brother, Jack Hogan (Edna Jean); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Morganton. The family will receive friends, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Morganton.
