Carl Matthew Parsons

Matthew was born on April 25, 1994 in Catawba County. He graduated from East Burke High School in 2012 and was able to attend W.P.C.C. for a time. Matthew was a loving son and brother. He will be greatly missed.

Matthew is preceded in death by his grandfather, Timothy E. Huffman; great grandmother, Carrie Mayfield; and grandmother, Mary Parsons.

Those left behind to cherish Matthew’s memory include his mother and step-father, Cathleen and Daniel Moody of the home; his father, Allen Parsons of Icard; four brothers, Josh Stamey, Logan Moody, Daniel Parsons and Thomas Parsons; a sister, Amber Hall; and his grandmother, Brenda Huffman. Also surviving are three nephews, a niece, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the First Apostolic Church in Morganton with Pastor Daniel Baker and Bishop Alvin Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Abernethy United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the church.
