Dorothy Ann Caldwell

Dorothy was a warm and creative soul who shared her love of knitting by teaching it for many years. She took great joy in cooking for those she loved and was always excited to travel and explore new places.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Charles Hercules Caldwell; son, Phifer Frederick; mother, Edna Conley Connelly; father, Donald Connelly.

Survivors include daughter, Lorraine Kincaid; son, Christopher Caldwell (Linda); daughter-in-law, Teresa Frederick; grandchildren, Najee Smith, Chad Kincaid (Brenita), Donny Phucharoenyos, Jerome Reed; uncles, James Corpening (wife, Eloise) and Hugh Corpening (wife, Lula); and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Morganton, North Carolina. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Shiloh AME Church Cemetery in Morganton.
