Irene Paulette Johnson

Irene accepted Christ as her Savior. Her Heavenly Father looked down on her Wednesday night and saw that she was tired of suffering, so he sent His angels to bring her home.

Her parents, George and Augusta Harshaw; a sister, Vivian Johnson; two daughters, Michelle Johnson and Bonita Johnson; and a stepdaughter, Terri Perkins, precede Irene in death.

Those left behind to cherish Irene’s memory include her husband, Douglas Johnson; three sons, Douglas Harshaw (Kelly) of Hickory, Dwight Johnson (Joyce) and Jarvis Logan of Morganton; two step-sons, Albert Hill (Brandy) and Casey Hill (Cassandra) of Union Mills; and two sisters, Pearlie Jones (Willie) and Georgia Dula (Roy Lee) of Morganton. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
