James Lyshaun Forney

Shaun was born to the late Barbara Ann Forney and James Wayne Robinson III. He grew up in Morganton, NC in the Lake James Community. Shaun loved his “little, big” sister “Toot.” He loved music and was known to be the biggest Tupac fan. He also, loved football and his favorite team was the San Francisco 49ers. Shaun was an employee at Fatz Cafe of Morganton, NC.

Shawn is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Forney and grandmother Texie Rutherford Forney.

Shawn is survived by his father James Wayne Robinson III, grandfathers, Samuel Forney of Morganton, NC and James Wayne Robinson Jr. (grandmother Barbara Robinson) of Connelly Springs, two sons, Raheem Forney of Morganton and Donovan Allen of South Carolina, sisters Shannon Forney (“Toot”) of Winston Salem and Vitrona Peeler of Morganton, niece Talayshia Norwood and nephew Kevin Brady Jr., aunts and uncles, and a host of family and friends.

Funeral Services for James LyShaun Forney will be held Monday, October 31, 2022 in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funreal home from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Rev. James Rutherford, Officiating.

The Forney Family has entrusted Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton with arrangements.
