Larry Laverne Earle Jr.

Larry followed family to Ft. Myers FL where he lived until meeting the love of his life, Jayme in 1980 at the Country Fair Restaurant where Larry said, “It was love at first sight.” Jayme and Larry were married in December of 1983, and have two children, Zeke Earle (Amber Earle) of Morganton, NC and Sarah Ramsey (David Ramsey) of Burgaw, NC as well as 3 grandchildren, Maddy Earle (12), Elijah Earle (7) and Noah Ramsey (3). In addition, Larry is survived by family members Jean Earle, Mindy and Earl Sandberg, Sam Walton, Matt Earle, Jody Earle, Darryl Earle, Dee Head, JoAnn and Jay Marshall.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Joan Labarre and Larry Earle Sr, three sisters, Debbie Williams, Kathy Walton, and Sherry Earle; and a brother Andy Walton.

Larry traveled the country as an over the road truck driver for many years and enjoyed having friends and family from all parts of the country. Jayme and Larry spent much of their free time traveling across the states together with their children. Larry was a devout sportsman that loved car racing, fishing and hunting, and riding horses. He loved the rumble of a hot rod engine, getting his hands dirty with an engine repair, and a good game of pool. He was a fun loving and social man who was quick to make a new friend and take care of others. Larry was a Christian, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a friend.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday February 24, 2024 at Calvary Church 3747 Pea Ridge Rd. Morganton, NC 28655. A time of fellowship and receiving of friends will follow. In lieu of flowers, family asks that you make a donation to Calvary Church.
