Mary Ann Nelson

December 16, 1958 - May 19, 2023

Mary Ann Nelson, age 64, journeyed to her heavenly home surrounded by family on Friday, May 19. Her contagious smile and sparkling eyes will be missed by all. Mary Ann loved to visit with family and recall funny tales. She worked as a Store Manager at Valley Rentals in Hickory and Morganton locations. In her spare time, she loved gardening and more importantly fostering any cats that needed a comforting touch. She was a member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are mom and dad Mary Belle and Ruthven Beach; brother, Darren Beach and wife Ramona; Sister Tracy Farnham and husband Brad; nephews Cory Beach (Kari), Adam Beach, Joshua Farnham (Ivy Grace), Dylan and niece Anna Farnham. Great nephew Mason Beach and great niece Daisy Beach.

She was preceded in death by her dearest companion Russ Powell; grandparents John and Maggie Webb Kincaid, and birth father Gene Willis.

A private memorial gathering will be held with the family at a later date. To honor Mary Ann’s memory the family asks that you love one another and cherish every moment. Donations may be made to Amorem Hospice.
