

She was born to the late Clare Barber and Verona Barber February 23, 1944, in Jamestown County, New York.
Mary enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, spending time with her children, grandchildren and most of all her great grandchildren. She retired from J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center after 20 years of service as a Health Care Technician.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Schoenen, and grandson, Erick LaFevers.
Those left to cherish her memoires include her husband of 16 years Bill Sparks, sons; Steven Schoenen (Hannah), Michael Schoenen (Susie), daughter Shari LaFevers (Herman), grandchildren; Josh Schoenen, Heidi Lail (Timothy), Allen Schoenen (Bekah), Steven Schoenen, Jr., (Ashley), Katelyn Newton (Christopher) and Heather LaFevers, great grandchildren; Erick Lail, Lacey Schoenen, Jude Schoenen, Waylon Newton, Fenix Lail, and Allison Newton, along with other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mary Lou Schoenen Sparks will be held Monday, May 30, 2022, in the chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Rev. Jimmie "JR" Richards Officiating
