Robert Douglas Saulman, age 59, of Morganton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. Robert was born the son of Ted Saulman, Sr. and Jewel Denny Saulman on November 10, 1960 in Burke County.
Robert enjoyed everything about the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Robert’s father, Ted W. Saulman, Sr. and brother, Ted W. Saulman, Jr. precede him in death.
Those left behind to cherish Robert’s memory include his mother, Jewel Saulman; two daughters, Holly Saulman and Becky Wood and her husband Justin; and five grandchildren, Landon and Stella Wood, Tyler Digh, and Taylor and Trenton Baker.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Burkemont Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Bunton and Rev. Luke Lane officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
