Robert Louis Scott

Robert (Joe) Louis Scott, 79, of Morganton, NC passed away Friday, March 2, 2018. Born in McDowell County, NC on August 3, 1938, he was the son of the late Lila Mae Scott. Joe was a member of Table Rock Church where he served as a musician. Reading the Bible and praising the Lord was one of his main past times all while he loved playing his bass guitar, watching wildlife shows and fishing. Joe spent most of his adult life working in the textile industry later on retiring from Henredon Furniture Factory after many years of service.

Joe leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 27 years, Maggie Scott; children, Lolita Armstrong (Charles Armstrong) of Morganton, NC, Ronnie Scott of San Antonio, TX, Randy Scott of Nebo, NC, Amy Rutherford and Bobby Rutherford and their spouses of Morganton, NC; step-children, Lisa Norwood of Charlotte, NC, Deanna Michaux, of Nashville, TN, Michael Norwood of Morganton, NC and Johnny Norwood (Pamela Norwood) of Chester, VA along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother Lila Mae Scott and sister, Sue Hayden.

Services for Robert (Joe) Scott will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Table Rock Baptist Church. The family will welcome guest at the home of Robert and Maggie Scott.
