Shawn "BooBoo" Cash

Shawn was born to the son of Mack Arthur Reid and Lola Marie Fleming on August 21, 1978 in Morganton, NC.

Shawn is proceeded in death by his maternal grandfather Charles Fleming Sr and Howard Reid, aunt Betty Jean Mathes, brother Brian Cash and special cousins Anthony “Ankie” Fleming, Darius Silver and Keenan Lucas.

Shawn was liked and loved by so many around the community. Everyone knew Shawn as the social one and never met a stranger. He would give you anything he could if he had it to give. He was never a man to judge anyone, always listened and always understood you. When he walked in a room his smile and presence was always known and will be remembered as the life of the party.

Those left behind to cherish Shawn’s memory include his mother Lola Marie Fleming (James) of Morganton, NC and Father Mack Arthur Reid of Morganton, NC. Two daughters Sisalynn Norman and Shaunna Norman both of Morganton, NC. Three sons Quain Dixon of Hickory, NC, Shawn Cash Jr of Morganton, NC and Rashawn Bristol- Cash of Morganton, NC. Two sisters Brandy Somerville (Stan) and Ta’Shalia Reid (Kele) both of Morganton, NC. Two grandmothers Cora Lee Reid of Collettsvile, NC and Willa Fleming of Morganton, NC. Two aunts Barbara Cole (Maurice) of Germantown, MD and Terry Fleming of Morganton, NC. Uncles; Lewis “Boomer” Reid of Colletsville, NC, William “Squeaky” Reid of Collettsville, NC, Henry Reid of Collettsville, NC, Charles “Buddy” Fleming Jr. of Morganton, NC. Great aunt Doris Fleming, and Rachel Fleming of Morganton, NC. A special cousin Yahmya Brown. Shawn also has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that loved him very much.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 3:00 p.m. In the chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Reverend Albert Hillman Officiating.
