Left to cherish Sherry's memory is her mother Caroline Ethel Enloe, her sister Rhonda "Cricket" Hornbacher (husband David), and her brother James Francum (wife Susan).
It was Sherry's passion in life to ensure that children learned to read. Sherry devoted her 30 year career as an elementary school librarian fostering childhood literacy. In addition to being a voracious reader, she enjoyed basketry, sewing, tatting, and was naturally artistic. Sherry was unselfishly generous.
For those wishing to honor my sister Sherry Francum’s memory by donating to her favorite charity, the Morganton branch of the Burke County Public Library Foundation. All donations will be used to purchase children’s books; Sherry had a lifelong passion for children’s literacy. The library has informed us that their biggest need is obtaining and maintaining children’s books.
The process is very easy.
