Doctor B. G. McFall, age 85, of Morristown, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, January 18, 2017, surrounded by his loving wife, sons and daughter. Doc was born in Pound, Virginia on October 31, 1932. He lived and worked in Virginia until he met his wife, Arlene Bailey in Johnson City, TN. They were married in July of 1954. B.G. and Arlene then travelled to Davenport, Iowa where B.G. attended Palmer Chiropractic College. B.G. graduated in 1955 and moved to Morristown, TN to start a Chiropractic practice. His love for helping people, especially children allowed him to build one of the largest Chiropractic practices in Tennessee. He was joined by his daughter Vickie and son-in-law Thomas Newcomb in 1983, together the Doctors practiced for over 30 years. Doc McFall’s achievements and Chiropractic honors are too numerous to mention, it seems as if everyone in Morristown has a Doc McFall story.
He loved the Fall, hunting with his son’s Randy and Rick. His rabbit hunting beagles and bird hunting setters and pointers were legendary. When he took time away from hunting, it was to work on his beloved farm and care for a string of Walking horses.
Doc McFall is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Geneva McFall. He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene Bailey McFall; sons, Ricky (Debra) McFall and Randy (Janice) McFall; daughter, Doctor Vickie (Doctor Thomas) Newcomb; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family of Doc McFall will receive friends on Saturday, January 20, 2017, in Buffalo Trail Baptist Church from noon until 3p.m. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. at Buffalo Trail Baptist Church with Dr. Keith Mowery and James Williams officiating. Directly following the service, the family will come in procession for a graveside service in Hamblen Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Doctor Thomas Newcomb, Farris Mackey, Dan Gelick, Ronnie Reel, John Witz and Tommy Smith. Honorary pallbearer will be Benny Smith.
Best of all he loved the fall, the leaves yellow on the cottonwoods, leaves floating trout streams and above the hill, the high blue windless skies…..
Now he will be a part of them Forever.
